The Ritz-Carlton Seoul announced on Apr. 14 that it has joined the list of “five star” hotels, the highest grade in Korea, through hotel rating evaluations conducted by Korea Tourism Organization in March. The government agency rated the categories, including service and conditions of rooms, restaurants and kitchens. The hotel got a score of more than 90 percent in 1,000 points, and received the rating as of the 8th.

An official from The Ritz-Carlton Seoul said, “Korea's hotel ratings were changed into an internationally accepted five-star scheme effective on last year. Since it includes a secret inspection, many hotels find it difficult to receive the rating. In given situation, we are happy to get the best grade which proves the best luxurious brand among hotels operated by Marriott.”

The Ritz-Carlton Seoul has been one of the best hotels in the nation with its elegant interior and excellent service since the opening in Feb. 1995. The hotel has 375 rooms, 6 restaurants, a bar and a deli as well as a fitness center and spa.
