Samsung C&T Corp said on March 23 that it has won three deals worth nearly 1.4 trillion won (US$1.2 billion) so far this year from Southeast Asian countries.
The Korean builder received a 388 billion won worth order to build a courthouse in Singapore last month and made a 245 billion won deal to construct an office building in Malaysia. In addition, the company succeeded in signing a 737 billion won subway construction deal in Singapore.
Samsung C&T said that it has been strengthening its foothold in the strategic markets in Southeast Asia by conducting thorough localizations and raising the trust of local people.
The company is currently carrying out a total of 32 projects including skyscrapers, power plants, and subways in the region, which are estimated at around 10.1 trillion won.
