Exclusive Tires for TCR Series
Hankook Tire, a global tire manufacturer, has announced that it becomes the exclusive tire partner for the Touring Car Racing Series ADAC TCR Germany until 2018, and Italian Touring Car Championship (under TCR International Series), respectively.
TCR Series are the second most influential motorsport event in the touring car market after World Touring Car Championship. Hankook Tire has signed contracts to supply tires to both ADAC TCR Germany & Italian Touring Car Championship, which are the two biggest racing competitions among local series. Accordingly, Hankook Tire proves its world-class performance and technology leadership with premium brand value by expanding its global motor racing portfolio.
Hankook Tire will exclusively supply its Ventus F200 and Ventus Z207 to ADAC TCR Series. The Ventus F200 is a circuit racing full slick tire which can travel 300 kilometers per hour on a dry surface, while the Ventus Z207 is a racing tire which is already being supplied to the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) and offers premium performance and consistency on a wet surface.
Meanwhile, Hankook Tire entered into the motorsports arena in 1992 when it developed the first Korean racing tire – the Z2000. Since then, the company has been participating in leading motorsport events at home and abroad, including Germany’s Touring Car Masters (DTM), FIA Formula 3, Audi Sport TT Cup, World Rally Championship (WRC), Formula D, CJ Super Race and Korea Speed Festival, as a racing tire supplier and sponsor to a participating team, leading the driving culture.
