Hankook Tire’s Winter I’cept evo2 has won the iF Design Awards 2016 in the product design category.

Hankook Tire, the leading tire company in the world, said its four products have won the iF Design Awards 2016 in the communication design, product design and concept design categories.

The company has received awards at the world’s top three design awards, the Red Dot Award, International Design Excellence Awards and iF Design Award, for the first time in the tire industry, introducing the excellence of innovative design capability. It also proves that Hankook Tire has the technology and design product competitiveness of the global top tier.

In particular, Hankook Tire’s Visual Contents Identity received the Winner award in the communication design category. There are the prints, images and graphs of the product inside of the Visual Contents Identity.

Moreover, the Winter I’cept evo2, high performance tire for the winter, has won the winner award in the product design category. The tire design plays an important role in maximizing performance, including drainage and slippage. With the asymmetric block design, the Winter I’cept evo2 has won both the Red Dot Award and iF Design Awards for the best design for winter roads.

In addition, the Boostrac and Alpike, which are the future concept tire developed by Hankook Tire’s research on the future driving environment, received awards in the concept design category.
