Facial, Voice Recognition App
Personal identification and stock trading based solely on the recognition of a facial shape or voice are likely to be made available.
SK Holdings C&C announced on Nov. 18 that it developed the Who Are U solution with KDB Daewoo Securities. This solution, utilizing facial and voice recognition, will replace public key certificate by means of non-face-to-face personal identification.
According to SK Holdings C&C, the solution analyzes mouth movement and voice and ensures a higher level of security than iris and fingerprint recognition.
“This solution requires no device but a smart phone onto which the application is to be downloaded,” it explained, adding, “Subscription to account opening for the use of financial services can be done within five minutes or so.”
