SME Recognition
The Korea Federation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and the Small and Medium Business Administration announced on Oct. 26 that Shin Yong-mun, CEO of Silla Engineering that produces press die and mold bases for cars, was selected as the Proud of Small & Medium Business Person of Oct. 2015.
Silla Engineering is the first small and mid-size company in the domestic car mold industry which received the “US$50 Million Export Tower” last year. After its inauguration in 2007, Shin has been actively seeking to enter overseas markets. As a result, the company achieved more than 60 percent of its 61.9 billion won (US$54.66 million) of the total sales last year from exports.
In particular, Silla Engineering introduced a “3D measurement technology” for the first time in the industry, improving the quality of molds with its continuous technology development. The company has made great contributions to the multi-material molding technology, difficult-to-work molding technology and non-ferrous metal molding technology sectors.
