SK Telecom announced on Aug. 16 its collaboration with the American company OpenAI to organize an AI hackathon titled “Prompter Day Seoul 2023” in Seoul next month.
A hackathon is a competition where participants develop services and business models in line with a given theme within a specified period. Developers and planners interested in generative AIs, such as ChatGPT, are eligible to participate in the hackathon. Applications can be made through the official website until Sept. 3.
The theme of the hackathon is “Developing Services That Can Benefit Humanity Through AI.” Participants can tackle a variety of fields based on a human-centric approach, such as improving daily productivity, enhancing enjoyment through content, improving the lives of marginalized groups, and innovating education.
Mr. Yu Young-sang, CEO of SK Telecom, remarked, “Based on our strengthened partnership with OpenAI, we aim to invigorate the global AI ecosystem.”
