LOTTE BIOLOGICS

LOTTE BIOLOGICS announced that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Roche Diagnostics, the diagnostic division of the global healthcare leading company Roche Group, to cement their cooperation in the Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) sphere.

This MOU, signed at Penzberg, where Roche Diagnostics CustomBiotech Center is located, aims to establish a cooperative relationship to enhance the productivity and quality of LOTTE BIOLOGICS' pharmaceutical production. This signing ceremony was attended by Richard Lee, CEO of LOTTE BIOLOGICS, Rainer Mueller, Vice President of Roche Diagnostics CustomBiotech, and Kit Tang, General Manager of Roche Diagnostics Korea.

According to the memorandum, the two companies plan to collaborate on multiple fronts, including the establishment of hardware and automation systems for the production process design of LOTTE BIOLOGICS' Mega Plant, technical consulting, and equipment support. Moreover, they plan to set up an educational program for the smooth operation of the Bio-Venture Initiative to be established within the Mega Plant Campus, thus nurturing potential bio ventures to set the stage for technical development and cooperation.

LOTTE BIOLOGICS, through this agreement with Roche Diagnostics, aims to significantly boost its credibility with potential global clients. The MOU will also act as a vanguard to strengthen Roche Diagnostics' supply network in the Asian market and provide better treatment access for patients worldwide.

CEO Richard Lee of LOTTE BIOLOGICS stated, "Through this MOU, we plan to enhance the production process capabilities of our Korean Mega Plant in collaboration with Roche Diagnostics." He added, "Through synergy with Roche Diagnostics, an industry leader in the in vitro diagnostic field, LOTTE hopes to improve the efficiency of its operations at the forthcoming Korean Mega Plant, simultaneously augmenting the quality of our manufacturing and fulfilling customer needs."
