Flitto, a leading AI language data company in South Korea, announced that Heba Farouk Mohamed Shahein, a high-ranking official from the Egyptian government, visited Flitto's headquarters on July 20th.

During the visit, Flitto gave a comprehensive tour of headquarters and provided an in-depth presentation of their AI data technology and data collecting process to the Egyptian Regulatory Reform And Development Activity (ERRADA).

Director Heba Shahein expressed her astonishment at Flitto CEO Simon Lee's presentation on language data technology and the performance of the trained AI language models. She showed particular interest in Flitto's ongoing Arabic data project. Despite Arabic being spoken by the fourth-largest population in the world, there is a significant lack of data for AI available in the language. Flitto's unique approach of using its integrated platform technology, which allows the collection of Arabic datasets without restrictions on regional dialects and data types (including text, speech, images, and dialogue by topic), captivated the attention of the Egyptian delegation.

The ERRADA's visit was part of the Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP), initiated by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Korea Development Institute (KDI), in collaboration with the Egyptian government. Flitto, which started as a startup and has grown into a leading language data company in Korea, serves as an example to help establish policies that support the startup ecosystem in Egypt and promote startup activity.

"It is significant that Flitto has been highlighted as a best practice model for policy cooperation projects between the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Egyptian government," said Flitto CEO Simon Lee. "Having showcased South Korea's AI language data technology and our competitive edge to the Egyptian government delegation, we will continue to build specialized data for AI training in various languages worldwide, including Arabic and other low-resource languages, using our proprietary integrated platform."
