The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) announced on July 12 that it held a contract signing ceremony for the supply of an inventory management system between domestic logistics startup ROVIGOS and Malaysia’s Parkson Department Store at its Startup Branch in Seoul.

Parkson Group, a part of the Lion Group, has about 80 locations in China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam, with a revenue of approximately 2.5 trillion won in the previous year.

KITA signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the implementation of a “distribution technology testbed” with Malaysia's Lion Group in August last year and has been running a logistics field startup testbed business for the past four months.

ROVIGOS CEO Kim Tae-yong said, “Through the execution of the testbed business, we were able to develop a system specialized for the inventory management service environment of Parkson Department Store. We hope that this supply contract will serve as a stepping stone for our expansion into the Southeast Asian market.”
