The LS Group announced on Aug. 20 that it has sent the “LS College Student Volunteer Service Group,” which consists of 50 Korean college students and staff members, to Vietnam for 12 days from Aug. 11 to 22.

They are offering science classes to Vietnamese elementary school students who are interested in Korean culture and education, in order to help them make solar cell boats and solar flashlights. Also, volunteers are providing various environments and hygiene education programs. Moreover, they have repaired old school facilities and held a performance of taekwondo and K-pop.

The LS Group has been building elementary schools, called “LS Dream Schools”, in the region from 2013, and has handed over the management authority to the region’s people's committee after their completion. This is the same region to which the group has sent the college student volunteer service group. These regions are adjacent to the production bases of its major affiliates, such as LS Cable & System, LSIS, and LS Mtron.
