First Appearance
LIG Nex1 will be making its first appearance at the Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition LIMA 2023. This global exhibition takes place on the island of Langkawi, Malaysia, running from May 23 to 27.
This year, the 16th instance of the LIMA event, is an international showcase in the maritime and aerospace sectors, jointly hosted by the Malaysian Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Transportation. The event draws in over 600 companies from 30 countries, including numerous Southeast Asian nations.
LIG Nex1 intends to display various systems, such as the 130 mm Biryong guided rocket, the 2.75 inch Bigung guided rocket, and the medium-range Haegung (K-SAAM) naval air defense missile. The Air Force plans to showcase the medium-range and medium-altitude Cheongung II ground-to-air interception system and the Korean KGGB GPS-guided bomb.
During this exhibition, the Republic of Korea Navy is set to deploy the new 4,900 ton class Nojeokbong landing ship (LST-II), which will operate as an on-board exhibition hall.
