SK hynix's NAND Flash Solutions subsidiary, Solidigm, announced on May 16 that it had appointed Noh Jong-won, president of SK hynix, and David M. Dixon, vice president of Solidigm, as the new co-CEOs of Solidigm. The decision was made during a board meeting held in the U.S. on May 11, local time.

Since October of the previous year, the Solidigm board had been consistently seeking a new CEO. They determined that President Noh and Vice President Dixon, who have been instrumental in optimizing operations and leading the enterprise Solid State Drive (SSD) business for data centers, were the most suitable candidates for the positions.

Noh Jong-won, now co-CEO of Solidigm, has showcased his abilities in areas such as business strategy formulation and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) during his tenure at SK Telecom and SK hynix. From the end of last year, he has served as the Chief Business Officer (CBO) of Solidigm, spearheading the discovery of new business opportunities and handling external partnerships.

Co-CEO Dixon is an enterprise SSD (eSSD) specialist, boasting a 28-year career at Intel. Until recently, he led Solidigm's Data Center Group, where he was responsible for the establishment of SSD development strategies and product planning.

SK hynix and Solidigm stated, "With the appointment of two executives who have strengths in Solidigm's strong enterprise SSD business and technical prowess as co-CEOs, we anticipate a quickened pace in the amalgamation of capabilities and creation of synergies between the two companies."
