On July 21, Lotte Group Chairman Shin Dong-bin visited Lotte Department Store Dream Plaza and the Creative Economy Innovation Center in Busan, making an on-site inspection and promising steady support from the group. He also met with Honduras's President Juan Orlando Hernandez at the center to introduce measures to realize Busan’s creative economy.

Shin visited “Dream Plaza,” a special zone for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to sell their products, in Busan to check its management status on July 21. He also directly tried the products and bought them. In the zone, Shin promised to give his full support to SMEs so that they could get practical help.

He said, “Based on Lotte’s distribution network, Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center has made a break-through in its sales network by connecting excellent small merchants in the region with companies. The Lotte Group will focus its competence to help early settlement and development of the creative economy innovation center, which is President Park’s top priority agenda.”

Shin talked with President Hernandez about the present condition of creative economy plans in Busan. It is said that Honduras's President is very interested in Korea’s economic development plans.

At the meeting, he said, “The center is a very desirable model to produce effective development by facilitating cooperation between the public and private sectors. We are providing support to outstanding regional products that have trouble finding sales routes by offering the best distribution network in Korea.”
