The Incheon Port Authority (IPA) announced that it held the first Incheon Port Logistics Improvement Workshop with the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea Logistics & Transport Committee at the IPA’s headquarters on May 11.

The workshop was attended by Choi Min-kyu, chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea Logistics & Transport Committee and a representative of Hapag-Lloyd, a German-based shipping company, 10 officials from shipping and logistics companies that are members of the committee, and Kim Jong-gil, vice president of business operations at the IPA.

The participants shared information on shipping and logistics outlooks for 2023, business trends and expansion plans of European shipping and logistics companies in Korea, the latest trends in customs processes and logistics regulatory issues, trends related to green ports and Incheon Port’s mid- and long-term development plans, and discussed ways to improve the logistics environment at Incheon Port.

The European Chamber of Commerce in Korea was established in 2012 to fulfill projects aimed at promoting relations and trade between Korea and Europe, and submits the opinions of its members and those in European business communities in Korea about industry regulations and issues to the Korean government every year.
