The Korea Exchange announced on April 23 that the market cap of KOSPI and KOSDAQ was 2,420.2546 trillion won on April 21 and it increased 16.4 percent from Jan. 1 this year to that day.

In that period, the market cap of KOSPI increased 13.86 percent to 2,011.3959 trillion won and that of KOSDAQ increased more than 30 percent to over 408.8 trillion won.

On April 21, KOSPI closed at 2,544.4 points, up 13.77 percent compared to the end of last year. That day, KOSDAQ closed at 868.82 points, up 27.9 percent.

Samsung Electronics, which has the largest market cap in the KOSPI, increased its market cap from 330.129 trillion won to 392.2147 trillion won. SK Hynix came in third by beating Samsung Biologics and POSCO Holdings newly jointed the top 10 by taking the ninth place. Naver fell from eighth to 10th.

In KOSDAQ, EcoPro BM took the top spot, followed by EcoPro, Celltrion Healthcare, L&F and HLB. Kakao Games fell from fourth to seventh, and Pearl Abyss fell from sixth to 10th.
