Donating Equipment

Korea Expressway Corporation announced that it donated educational equipment and school supplies worth 100 million won (US$75,788) to Bangladesh and Nepal for six days from April 5 to 10 with the global NGO Good Neighbors.

The company promoted the project to strengthen friendly relations by returning profits to overseas order-giving countries and to improve educational environments for students in Bangladesh and Nepal.

Korea Expressway Corporation donated 52 computers, six projectors, 155 sets of desks and chairs, 1,800 sets of school supplies, and computer room remodeling materials to a total of 3,000 students at three high schools in Bangladesh and three educational facilities in Nepal.

Meanwhile, Korea Expressway Corporation is operating and managing the 55-km N8 Expressway with four lanes, the first highway in Bangladesh opened last year and 6.2km Padma Bridge with four lanes in Bangladesh. It has been carrying out the design and construction supervision of the 73-km Kathmandu-Terai Expressway with four lanes as the largest highway project in Nepal since 2020.
