Samsung Electronics supplied a large number of smart signage devices and hotel TVs to Atlantis the Royal, a luxurious hotel and resort in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.
Atlantis the Royal, located on Palm Jumeirah, an artificial island just off the coast of Dubai, has a unique appearance like a set of toy blocks. It has three hotel buildings and three residence buildings, and all rooms command a nice view of the Gulf.
Samsung Electronics announced on April 12 that it has installed The Wall, an ultra-high-definition display powered by Samsung Electronics’ most advanced micro LED technology, in the Royal Mansion, the most luxurious suite in Atlantis The Royal.
Atlantis the Royal is the first place in the Middle East to have The Wall as a screen for a hotel room. The installation is 146 inches in size and supports a 4K (3840x2160) resolution.
The Wall is a modular type micro LED display that features a slim design with no bezels so it can be installed in custom sizes and shapes.
Apart from the most expensive room, 4K TVs were installed in all of the 795 other hotel rooms and residences of the building. They were installed in consideration of the characteristics of various spaces such as hotel lobbies, spas, and outdoor swimming pools.
