Extensive Cooperation

Naver announced that it has signed MOUs with Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Municipal and Affairs and Housing (MOMRAH) and Ministry of Investment Saudi Arabia (MISA).

On March 30 (local time), Naver, Naver Labs, Naver Cloud, and the MOMRAH and the MISA held a ceremony in honor of signing the MOUs at the MOMRAH Headquarters Building in Riyadh of Saudi Arabia.

The ceremony was attended by VIPs from both sides. From the Saudi Arabian side were Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, minister of housing, Musaed Alotaibi, vice minister of housing, Ḫalid al-Falih, minister of investment and Fahad Alnaeem, vice minister of investment. On the other hand, Naver was represented by Chae Seon-joo, head of ESG and external policies, Seok Sang-ok, CEO of Naver Labs, and Han Sang-young, director at Naver Cloud.

In addition to the Neom City Project, the world's largest smart city, Saudi Arabia is making various efforts for an omnidirectional digital transformation at the national level. As a result, the Middle East kingdom is paying much attention to global technology giants. Naver, a leading IT company in Korea that covers cutting-edge technology fields such as AI, robotics, cloud, self-driving, and digital twins, has become a partner of the MOMRAH.

Through this business agreement, Naver, Naver Labs and Naver Cloud will cooperate with the MOMRAH and MISA in conducting comprehensive ICT projects for digital transformation at the national level, such as building various digital services that Saudi Arabians can use easily and conveniently.
