Natural Gas Plant

Doosan Enerbility has succeeded in winning consecutive orders from the Central Asian LNG-fired power generation market.

Doosan Enerbility announced on March 22 that it received a notice to proceed (NTP) from Harbin Electric International (HEI), a Chinese EPC company, to supply equipment and materials for a phase 2 natural gas power plant in Sirdaryo, Uzbekistan.

The contract is worth about 60 billion won (US$47 million). It is the first order from Uzbekistan and has been just a week since inking a 1.15-trillion-won (US$900 million) power plant construction contract in Kazakhstan on March 15.

This 1,600 MW power plant will be built in Sirdaryo, 150 km south of Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, with the goal of starting commercial operation in 2026. Doosan Enerbility will supply 500 MW steam turbines and generators under this contract.
