Duckshin Housing, the nation’s leading deck plate supplier, announced on June 22 that it has completed a plant for Duckshin Vina, its subsidiary in Vietnam, and started the full-fledged operation of production lines. It is the first in the nation’s deck plate industry and the first overseas production base in the world in terms of all-in-one deck plates.

Duckshin Vina is a subsidiary established in Hai Phong, Vietnam, with a total area of 38,000 square meters. With its two lines in its production facilities, it has an annual capacity to produce 1.5 million square meters of deck plate. Through steady investment in the future, Duckshin Housing is planning to expand its annual production capacity to 2.7 million square meters.

With Duckshin Vina as its base, Duckshin Housing plans to target not only the Vietnamese market but also other markets in the ASEAN region at the same time. In particular, deck plates are expected to be exported more easily to neighboring countries through the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), which will be launched within this year.

Duckshin Housing Chairman Kim Myung-hwan said, “In Vietnam, where the demand for deck plates is continuously increasing, it is meaningful to complete the Duckshin Vina production plant in a bid to gain a stable position in the market. Through continuous investment in the future, the company will develop optimized products for the construction market and raise its market share in Southeast Asia.”
