Pilot Line
According to industry sources on March 14, Samsung SDI will unveil its BoT application lineup, which is expanding to its battery brand PriMX, and introduce super-gap technology at InterBattery 2023.
Samsung SDI designed its booth by focusing on the Core Technology Zone at the center of the booth. Therefore, its booth will highlight electric vehicles, IT devices & wearables, power tools, and energy storage systems (ESS) loaded with such batteries including prismatic, cylindrical, pouch-type batteries, and button batteries.
The Core Technology Zone will feature Samsung SDI’s differentiated technological competitiveness as a leading battery maker by displaying all-solid-state batteries, innovative structural design, high-efficiency fast charging, and safety technologies.
Samsung SDI’s all-solid-state batteries are characterized by non-cathode technology that improves lifespan with its proprietary solid electrolyte material and lithium anode material. The battery maker is about to complete Korea’s only all-solid-state battery pilot line. Through the pilot line, it will conduct various tests to improve the quality of all-solid-state batteries, starting with production of prototype samples in the second half of this year.
