Hyundai Moviex, an affiliate of Hyundai Group, announced on Jan. 19 that it signed a contract with Sydney Metro of Australia on Dec. 22 last year to manufacture, supply and install platform screen doors (PSDs) and mechanical gap fillers (MGFs).
The 35.7 billion won project involves the construction of 360 screen doors and 150 safety scaffolds in 10 stations between Merrickville and Bankstown on the Southwest Line in Sydney.
Hyundai Movex’s screen doors have been supplied to about 400 stations across Korea. It has secured an unrivaled business position in the country. This export contact is the company’s first screen door export, laying the groundwork for its global business expansion in the advanced Australian market.
