SmartThings Station to Be Released This Month

Samsung Electronics will connect 14 billion Samsung and non-Samsung devices around the world in the upcoming era of hyper connectivity to further enrich user experience, the company's vice chairman Han Jong-hee said in Las Vegas on Jan. 4 (local time).

That day, Samsung Electronics unveiled its SmartThings Station, which will be released in South Korea and the United States this month. The palm-size device supports the smart home IoT standard of Matter to facilitate connection with devices from Google, Amazon, Apple, etc.

Samsung Electronics also unveiled its game and video sync services in collaboration with Signify, which will be applied to TVs to be released in the near future.

According to Samsung Electronics, such hyper connectivity will help increase the sustainability of the future beyond inter-device connection, and it is planning to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 with such innovation.
