Everyone from China Must Be Tested before and after Arrival

Covid-19 testing before and after arrival is mandatory for everyone from China.

Airlines and travel agencies are on alert as COVID-19 is spreading again in China.

Korean Air is providing nine flights to China a week, was planning to increase the number to 15 late this month, and recently canceled the plan. Likewise, Asiana Airlines will maintain 10 instead of adding four a week.

T'way Air temporarily stopped its flight between Daegu and Yanji. Other low-cost carriers are planning to take similar steps.

On Jan. 2, the South Korean government banned arrival from China at every non-Incheon airport. Since then, everyone from China must be tested both before and after arrival. The government is planning to apply the same to those from Hong Kong and Macao on Jan. 7.
