Together with 10 U.S. Partners

SK Group plans to showcase its carbon reduction technologies at CES 2023.

SK Group announced on Dec. 18 that its eight subsidiaries will showcase their carbon reduction technologies at CES 2023 by jointly operating an exhibition hall with their 10 U.S. partner companies under the theme of “Together in Action."

Two new companies, SKC and SK Biopharmaceuticals, will participate in this exhibition, which will run from Jan. 5 to 8, in addition to the six companies that participated in CES 2022 -- SK Holdings, SK Innovation, SK E&S, SK Hynix, SK Telecom, and SK Ecoplant. Their global partners, TerraPower, Plug Power, and Plastic Energy, will participate in CES 2023 as well.

The SK exhibition hall will be divided into two zones. The first section named “Futuremarks” will show, using media art technology, the bleak future that humanity may face if we do not act properly against the crisis of climate change. The second section (SK, Around Every Corner) will depict future cities that can be realized with carbon reduction technologies and solutions that SK affiliates and partners have already commercialized or will commercialize soon.

“We have designed the exhibition hall in order to let visitors clearly compare and experience the two futures that members of the global village can face when they actively engage in carbon reduction actions and otherwise,” an SK official said.

SK Group will introduce about 40 eco-friendly technologies and products together with its partners this time. They will include electric vehicle batteries, hydrogen, high-efficiency semiconductors, waste-to-energy, carbon capture, utilization and storage, (CCUS), small modular reactors (SMRs), urban air mobility (UAM) and healthcare.
