An economic delegation from Luxembourg will visit Korea from Nov. 27-29. Headed by Crown Prince Guillaume Jean Joseph Marie of Luxembourg and Minister of Economy Franz Fayot, the delegation consists of more than 87 representatives of public and private institutions and companies in the space and ICT sectors.

The delegation will seek cooperation in the space industry, startups, smart cities, and environmental technology, and strengthening economic and political ties between the two countries.

Crown Prince Guillaume Luxembourg and Minister of Economy Fayot will hold several bilateral meetings with Korean government officials during their visit, and Minister of Economy Fayot will make a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the Korea Space Forum 2022.

In addition, Crown Prince Guillaume and Minister Fayot will pay an official visit to the War Memorial of Korea in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and Luxembourg.

The delegation also plans to visit Korean companies, attend the opening ceremony of a new factory of Rotarex, a Luxembourg company, and hold a Korea-Luxembourg business forum, networking and B2B meetings.

In addition, the delegation plans to participate in various events held in Seoul (Korea International Trade Association & Seoul Smart City Center), Daejeon (KAIST GCC), Sejong (Sejong Smart City) and Busan (Techno Park).

Minister Fayot pointed out that “South Korea and Luxembourg have a long-standing friendship based on shared values and continuous political dialogue. Our trade relations have been deepened in the last years and numerous South Korean businesses are nowadays present in Luxembourg and vice versa. We are strong trading partners and are both pioneers of innovation and leaders in the high-tech and digital arenas. Our countries are excellent platforms for companies that are seeking to establish or intensify their business activities in Europe and North-East Asia, respectively.”
