The Highest Decision-making Body in Mobile Industry
KT announced on Nov. 8 that its CEO Koo Hyun-mo has been re-elected as a member of the GSMA board of directors.
The GSMA board of directors is the highest decision-making body in the mobile communication industry, composed of CEO-level executives from over 800 telecommunication companies around the world.
Major global carriers such as AT&T, Verizon, Vodafone, and Telefonica are also included in the board. The term of office of the directors is two years. KT has been a member of the board since 2003.
“I am delighted that KT has been re-elected as a member of the GSMA Board of Directors,” CEO Koo said. “We will do our best to promote the development of the Korean telecommunication industry and raise its status by establishing a long-term vision for the global telecommunication industry and taking technical, strategic and regulatory directions for it.”
