SK Bigger Holdings

SK C&C and SK Holdings concluded a merger on April 20, and plan to launch an integrated corporation, SK C&C said.

SK C&C and SK Holdings will merge at a ratio of 1:0.74, respectively, SK C&C said. SK C&C will release new stock to exchange it with SK Holdings’ stock for the merger, SK C&C said.

The merged entity will maintain the name “SK Holdings” to sustain the brand identity of the conglomerate, SK C&C said.

The merger will be finished on August 1, after permission is granted at a general meeting of shareholders to be held on June 26, the company said.

SK C&C said that the merged entity will have “better” financial structure and new “promising” business opportunities, by combining SK Holdings’ resources and SK C&C’s information and communications technology (ICT) business capabilities.

“SK C&C has ruled SK Holdings since the latter became a holdings company in 2007,” SK C&C said. But the holdings structure will be “complete” by this merger.
