The GS Group signed a business agreement with the Export-Import Bank of Korea (Korea Eximbank) for financial cooperation.

The GS Group and Korea Eximbank have maintained financial cooperation in the overseas construction and plant project of GS Engineering & Construction and its overseas infrastructure business sector so far.

Under the agreement, Korea Eximbank will have comprehensive and effective discussion from the early stage of business promotion on GS Group’s core strategic businesses such as overseas resources development, overseas construction and plant business, development projects, export and import, and overseas investment projects. It will also provide rapid financial support to the group.

The two also agreed to construct a more active mutual cooperative system, including the joint development of promising businesses and prior consultation, quota participation, and the provision of financial advice.

The GS Group and Korea Eximbank will establish a regular cooperation channel for the concrete implementation of business agreement terms and launch divisional task forces when needed.

GS Group Chairman Huh Chang-soo said, “Through the business agreement, GS Group can now secure cooperative financial support on its strategic businesses from Korea Eximbank. Based on the cooperative relationship, GS Group will expand its overseas businesses and strengthen its global competitiveness further.”

Korea Eximbank CEO Lee Duk-hoon said, “By supporting the value chain activities related to resource development and energy, we will fully support GS Group to expand its export market and sharpen its global competitiveness.”
