Cooperation in Oil Stockpiling
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced on Jan. 10 that it would discuss mutual cooperation with the UAE government in oil stockpiling at the 10th General Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).
Specifically, Joo Young-joon, head of the ministry’s Office of Energy and Resources, is scheduled to attend the opening ceremony of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) and the general assembly in Abu Dhabi from Jan. 11 to 13 to discuss the development of the hydrogen economy. In addition, he is scheduled to meet with the UAE government and local entrepreneurs to share opinions on the current political situations in the Middle East and cooperation in the energy field for oil reserves management.
“We will meet with South Korean companies in the United Arab Emirates as well in order to discuss how to respond to the political situations,” the ministry explained.
