A Taste of Korean Food

Bibigo, a global Korean cuisine brand created by Cheiljedang, announced on Aug. 23 that it held various events to promote K-food at KCON 2022 LA, a Korean pop culture festival held in Los Angeles for three days from Aug. 19 to 21.

This year, a sample tasting event was held at Bibigo Food Street to present Korea's trendy street foods such as Bibigo dumplings, chicken and hot sauce Bibigo Gotchu, a reinterpretation of Gochujang (Korean red pepper paste). In particular, for the three days, more than 10,000 people queued up to taste Bibigo dumplings and chicken.

In addition, the organizer set up a "mukbang" (eating show) studio aimed at the MZ generation who has a distinct personality and values ​​communications. Mukbang refers to a live broadcast of someone eating a large amount of food for entertainment. In the mukbang studio designed to shoot a video and send it directly to personal social media, visitors filmed introduction videos on K-food, shared them on social media such as Instagram and YouTube and enjoyed Korean food with everyone through networks.

On Aug. 20, Zach Choi, a Korean-American mukbang YouTuber with 14.2 million followers, visited and filmed an ASMR video of Bibigo dumplings.
