Mobile Service Cooperation

Samsung Electronics and Microsoft have agreed to expand global cooperation in the mobile sector.

Samsung Electronics announced on March 24 that its smartphones and tablets released from now on will be provided with the built-in Microsoft applications including Skype, OneDrive, and OneNote.

The tablet PCs are equipped with the office programs such as Ms Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Also, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge users are to be provided with an additional OneDrive capacity of 100 GB for two years, while companies purchasing Samsung devices on a B2B basis can select one of the three Office 365 versions (Business, Business Premium, and Enterprise) combined with KNOX, Samsung’s own mobile security solution.

Office 365, a cloud-based office service, provides a variety of services such as e-mail, calendar, and video conferencing as well as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint anywhere and anytime when the Internet is connected. Samsung’s KNOX helps users manage documents in a secure, easy, and safe manner.
