Ssangyong Motor (President Choi Johng-sik) will unveil its concept SUV named XAV at the Seoul Motor Show 2015 for the first time in the world.
With the concept of “Ssangyong Holic,” the company will showcase the concept car along with 20 other mass-produced vehicles in its 2,200m2 booth during the Seoul Motor Show that kicks off on April 2.
The concept car is named XAV, which that stands for “exiting authentic SUV.” The company says that it realizes the authentic SUV image based on the compact SUV platform, and it will strengthen Ssangyong Motor’s brand identity as an SUV maker, said the company.
Created by the combination of Ssangyong’s brand heritages, tradition, and the latest trends, the new concept car shows off a boxy external design with a stark use of straight lines that could provide the roomy interior needed for outdoor leisure activities, along with a strong image of the authentic SUV.
It also adopts a unique shoulder wing design based on the retro design of the early Korando, one of Ssangyong's most popular models, reinforcing a “masculine” impression.
Meanwhile, Ssangyong Motor will hold a K-Pop concert and other events that can be enjoyed by all visitors of all ages during the show.
