In Cooperation with Local Partner Enviria

Q Energy will push for a 500-MW solar power development project in Germany in cooperation with its local partner Enviria.

Q Energy, Hanwha Solutions' subsidiary in Europe, announced on July 12 that it will push for a 500-MW solar power development project in cooperation with Enviria, a German renewable energy development company.

Founded in 2017, Enviria is a Frankfurt-based solar power development company that has successfully carried out more than 100 solar projects so far.

The two companies will jointly promote 38 solar power projects across Germany with capacities ranging from 2MW to 70MW. Hanwha Solutions will secure project sites by utilizing Enviria’s local network and obtain government approval. They plan to build and sell solar power plants or operate them directly and sell electricity by 2025.

This joint development project is the first large-scale solar power project promoted by Hanwha Solutions in Germany. They will implement various renewable energy development projects such as wind power and energy storage systems (ESSs) throughout Europe in the future.

Q Energy, owned 100 percent by Hanwha Solutions, was launched on July 1 to orchestrate the parent company's European energy business.
