It has been shown that there is a little difference in the performance of large refrigerators, depending on the surrounding temperature. And under testing, Samsung products performed relatively better to those of Dayou-Winia and LG Electronics in storage performance and monthly power consumption in such circumstances.

The Korea Consumer Agency reported on March 10 that the result came out through testing and assessing the quality and safety of three 4-door 900L electronic fridges currently sold in the market.

The tested products were the RF90H9012XP from Samsung Electronics, the R-F915VBSR from LG Electronics, and the RE944EKSSUW from Daeyou-Winia.

Storage performance was assessed by comparing a setting temperature to the actual temperature. In temperature deviation, Samsung products were superior to the other two products. But all three products could be used normally in actual life.

In particular, the temperature deviations of each model got bigger as the surrounding temperature rose. The refrigerators of Daeyou-Winia and LG showed comparatively larger deviations near the door, while all three products showed similar setting temperatures to actual temperatures near the inner shelf. Although the energy consumption efficiency level was the same when it was 32 degrees Celsius in the summer, the difference of monthly power consumption among those products was found out to be at most 27kWh. The power consumption differed in the order of Samsung with 43.4kWh, LG with 51.4kWh, and Daeyou-Winia with 70 kWh.

For noise, all the products were excellent. The humidity rates of the vegetable drawer, which is a barometer to test the performance, were 94 percent for Samsung, 89 percent for LG, and 88 percent for Daeyou-Winia.
