U.S. Alternative Asset Manager Opens Office in Seoul

Orchard Global Asset Management, a U.S. alternative asset management company, announced on June 14 that Danny Jeon has joined the firm as executive director, head of client solutions—Korea and head of the firm’s newly opened liaison office in Seoul, South Korea. 

Jeon will help further accelerate Orchard Global’s commitment to and investment in Asia, following the firm’s history and presence in Singapore for over a decade. He will work closely with Orchard’s globally based team to develop the firm’s profile among institutional investors in Korea. Jeon will report to Jason Tan, head of Asia Pacific in Singapore and David Burke, global head of distribution & investor relations in New York.

Jeon brings more than 20 years of financial services experience in investment banking and asset management. He spent nearly a decade at Barclays Capital as an investment banker in Hong Kong and Seoul. Most recently, he was director for Korea institutional sales at MUFG Securities Asia. Jeon started his career at Citigroup and then Fidelity International. He holds a BS in economics from Korea University in Seoul.
