An Initiative to Retain Highly Skilled Workers

Samsung Electronics has introduced a senior track system to allow highly skilled employees to work for the company after their retirement.

Samsung Electronics will implement a new personnel management system starting this month, including a senior track system that allows highly skilled employees to work for the company after their retirement.

The company announced on its internal bulletin board on May 10 that the new personnel management system would be implemented from this month.

The senior track program is intended to capitalize on the expertise and experience of highly-skilled senior employees. The company plans to select candidates for the program by the end of this month among employees who are scheduled to retire by February 2023.

The Senior Track Selection Committee will select finalists from among those who have received an average of grade B or higher performance evaluation over the past three years, or those who have excellent qualifications and software experts.

The new initiatives also include payment of more incentives to employees who have reached the pay ceiling for their position, to boost their morale and motivation, and frequent feedback between employees and their bosses.
