LG showcases its 77 inch OLED TVs with a pair of models to emphasize its "Dual Premium" strategy.

LG Electronics is targeting the global TV market with its dual premium strategy.

The company is planning to secure its position as a global leader in the TV market, expanding new OLED TV models and releasing the Super Ultra HD TV, which has clearer colors and improved contrast range from the existing UHD TVs.

LG Electronics said, "We will implement the dual-premium strategy in earnest. It is to lead the premium TV market with our distinctive product, the OLED TV, and expand the market further with the Super Ultra HD TV, which delivers better picture quality than existing ultra HD TVs."

The company will expand its OLED TV lineup to 10 models from 5 models last year. It decided to release additional models since it is confident that OLED TVs will grow in popularity.

The company also explained the strengths of the OLED technology with the ABCD concept, which stands for Angle, Black, Color, and Design. LG’s Art Slim design products are as thin as 5 mm.

LG Electronics introduced the Super Ultra HD TV for the first time on the same day. It will release 11 models at sizes of 43, 49, 55, 65, and 79 inches. Super Ultra HD TVs will account for 25 percent of the total UHD TVs based on LCDs.

The new models contain the image enhancement technology dubbed “Ultra Dynamic Range,” which delivers more detailed colors, displaying dark shades darker and bright shades brighter.

They also have better sound quality. The new products are equipped with tweeter speakers producing high-pitched tones in collaboration with Harman Kardon, the leading audio manufacturer in the world.

The new models will be as slim as 8.5 mm with a frame 4.7 mm wide.
