The percentages were calculated based on the top 10 net-purchased stocks by the investor group.

The index rose 9.21 percent during the same period. Ninety percent of the stocks bought by foreigners and institutional investors showed appreciation, whereas the ratio was as low as 40 percent for individual investors.

For example, foreign investors purchased 16.6 billion won (US$14.9 million) worth of Galaxia Communications stocks, and the company recorded a gain of 186.72 percent.
