LG Electronics announced on Feb. 9 that it will unveil displays using its mobile operating system webOS at this year's Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) to be held in Amsterdam from Feb. 10 to 12 (local time).

The Korean tech giant is going to use webOS in all products and provide solutions that can be used by syncing them with smart devices such as smartphones or tablet PCs. For example, a webOS Hotel TV can provide information on the hotel’s facilities, nearby attractions, and entertainment through a convenient user environment. It is also possible to remotely control lighting, air conditioners, heaters, and even curtains using the TV.

LG will showcase its Transparent Display Cooler Door as well. Advertising content is displayed on the exterior of the cooler, allowing consumers to see products inside the cooler as if the door was transparent, without opening it.

The company will also debut a Mirror Display, which incorporates a touch screen into a full-length mirror. This product can be used as a mirror at clothing stores, and also does Virtual Fitting, too. Customers can see what they would look like wearing different clothes just by touching the display.

In addition, LG will reveal an ULTRA HD Digital Signage lineup with 65, 84, 98, and 105 inch screens. These products promise four times the resolution of existing full HD TVs, thereby offering much higher image resolution. In particular, the 84 inch model can detect up to ten touch points at the same time, allowing multiple users to interact with the display simultaneously.
