LG Electronics’ laptop LG Gram 16

LG Electronics announced on March 20 that it has launched new LG Gram laptop models loaded with an external graphic card, for the first time among LG Gram models.

LG Electronics’ new Gram products (the 17Z90Q and 16Z90Q models) are loaded with Nvidia’s powerful external graphics card (RTX 2050).

The LG Gram 16 is loaded with an external graphic card, a 90-watt-hour (Wh) large-capacity battery and a 16-inch display. The product weighs 1,285 grams. The 17-inch LG Gram 17 weighs 1,435 grams.

The new product comes out with a 16:10 screen ratio WQXGA (2560×1600) high-resolution IPS display. Its anti-glare panel prevents light reflection and glare.

Thanks to Intel’s latest 12th-generation i7 processor, its data processing speed is about 70 percent faster compared to models with 11th-generation processors. It is loaded with the latest 4th-generation solid-state drive (SSD) and the latest low-power memory with 22 percent improved performance compared to other products.

It offers various convenience functions based on artificial intelligence (AI) analysis after detecting a user’s face and gazes with a camera for the first time. For example, when a user becomes away from the laptop, it locks its screen on its own. If someone stands behind the user, it blurs its screen or shows a warning message.

When a separate monitor is connected for multi-tasking, it automatically moves its mouse pointer or activated window on which the user is working to the screen viewed by the user between the two screens.

The new product will come in three colors -- white, black, and charcoal. The LG Gram 16 will retail between 2.29 million won to 2.49 million won (based on an i5 model with a 16GB memory and a 256GB storage device), and LG Gram between 2.39 million won and 2.59 million won (based on a model of the same specifications).
