Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) announced on March 15 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Britain’s Babcock International for strategic cooperation in developing warship technologies.

Babcock is a defense company that has been involved in building ships for countries around the world. It has built HMS Queen Elizabeth, the British aircraft carrier. In particular, it has been developing key equipment for submarines. The British shipbuilder has participated in various marine projects based on its expertise in defense engineering.

Through the technology agreement, DSME is looking to secure key technologies for building warships from Babcock.

In addition, the two companies decided to actively utilize their technologies in various types of special ships at home and abroad.
