IoT Preparation
Korea has been analyzed not to be in the top ten list among the major countries in terms of the preparation for the Internet of Things (IoT).
According to the National Information Society Agency (NIA) on Feb. 2, Korea recorded 52.2 points and ranked 12th out of 20 countries in Accenture’s recent report on Internet of Things (IoT) preparedness.
The list was topped by the United States (64 points), which was followed by Switzerland (63.9), Finland (63.2), Sweden (62.4), Norway (61.8), the Netherlands (59), Denmark (58.8), Great Britain (55), Japan (54.4), Germany (54.3), and Australia (54.1).
According to the report, the 20 countries’ GDP is expected to be increased by about 1 percent by 2030 after IoT begins to be used in full scale in many industries.
