Sony to Release World’s First QD-OLED TV in June

Sony has decided to release Bravia A95K, the world’s first QD-OLED TV, in June this year. The panel is supplied from Samsung Display.

The new TV is divided into 55- and 65-inch models. The prices are likely to be US$2,999 and US$3,999, respectively.

The estimated prices are somewhat higher than the prices of Samsung QLED and LG OLED TVs that are equal in size. For example, 55-inch Samsung Neo QLED and 55-inch LG OLED Evo are priced at about US$2,000 and the 65-inch models are priced at about US$3,000.
 

Samsung Electronics, the global TV market leader, is making final preparations with Samsung Display to release its first QD-OLED TV. Samsung Electronics was planning to release it in May but the date has been postponed to the second half with regard to the panel supply price and amount.
