Entrepreneurship

According to the Global Entrepreneurship & Development Index for 2014, Korea recorded 32nd out of 120 or so countries in terms of entrepreneurship.

On the yearly list released by the Global Entrepreneurship & Development Institute (GEDI), Korea took the 26th place out of 79 in 2012 and 37th out of 118 in the following year. Its ranking moved up from the top 33 percent to 27 percent between 2012 and last year.

Still, Korea’s entrepreneurship was evaluated to be rather stagnant and short of its economic scale. The GEDI classified the surveyed countries into eight grades, and Korea was in Grade 3 with Bulgaria, Rumania, Turkey, and Malaysia.
