The new Sonata won the “2015 Best Economic Performance Award” in the full-size segment by the Automotive Science Group (ASG), a U.S. auto review organization.

The ASG divides all vehicles for sales in the U.S. into 11 segments and announces the most economical vehicles every year based on the lowest maintenance costs by analyzing vehicle prices, fuel efficiency, and insurance payments.

The new Sonata ranked 1st in the full-size sector, beating 64 other competitors including the Ford Taurus and Chevrolet Impala.

Meanwhile, Santa Fe and Kia Motors’ Sorento won the “2015 Best Five Vehicles” in the mid-Size SUV segment, among its 132 models in the sector.
