Sales of Teenie Weenie, a fashion brand of the E-Land group, exceeded 500 billion won (US$456 million) in the Chinese market last year.

It has been one and half years since annual sales surpassed 400 billion won (US$365 million) when the Teenie Weenie Cafe and Living Line attracted more age groups. Teenie Weenie plans to continue this growh trend, recording sales of 720 billion won (US$657 million) by this year and becoming a trillion-won-earning brand in 2017.

Teenie Weenie, which is characterized by its cute teddy bear characters, first entered the Chinese market in 2004. The brand has been loved constantly by Chinese people who like bears.

It currently has about 1,200 company-operated stores, including those in big department stores and shopping malls, and plans to increase the number of shops to 1,600 by opening already qualified product lines for men and kids.

An official from E-Land said, “We are going to additionally open 40 global lifestyle flagship stores when launching a jewelry line this year,” adding, “Expanding product lines in full scale and entering the global market will become the focus of Teenie Weenie this year.”
