Focus Overseas

 

Chairman of the E·Land Group Park Sung-soo said that its overseas sales will be raised to 60 percent of its total sales by 2021, and were planned to be raised to 30 percent last year.

Park Sang-soo, chairman of the E·Land Group.Chairman Park said on Dec. 2, “We have made efforts for a take-off toward a global company until last year, and both sales and operating profits have doubled,” adding, “E·Land will definitely become a global company by 2021, entering world's top 200 companies.”

The E·Land Group, which is the 44th largest conglomerate in Korea, is currently expanding tourism-related businesses in all directions, including hotels, leisure, duty free shops, and cosmetics.

It plans to become a world top 10 global hotel and leisure group with 150 branches and 18,000 rooms by 2020 through fostering the hotel and leisure businesses.

E·Land confirmed its determination to go global by promoting the heads of its overseas business departments in China, the U.S., and Asia to the executive level in its annual personnel realignment for 2015. The company also aimed the business direction of the group by promoting executives of the food service and leisure departments, which have been carried forward as new growth engines.
