LS Industrial System (LSIS) was named one of the Top 100 Innovative Companies selected by the global consulting group Thompson Reuters on Nov. 26.

LSIS has been awarded for four consecutive years with LG Electronics and Samsung Electronics, since the first report of Top 100 Innovative Companies in 2011.

On the same day, Vice Chairman Koo Ja-kyun received an innovative company trophy from Tony Kinnear, the president of Thompson Reuters, at LS Tower in Anyang City in Gyeonggi Province. LSIS was appraised equally with global companies in patent registration success rate, application rate of patents to four overseas regions, and patent citation rate, in addition to the quantitative growth of the IP field.

Vice Chairman Koo said, “LSIS considers R&D innovation as the top priority value for sustainable growth, and is investing over 6 percent of its sales for it,” adding, “Particularly, we will expand the IP portfolio across all our business categories, since IP represents the company's technology competitiveness and innovative index.”
